The Visual Blog: June 2018

Every quarter, Popdot Media will be showcasing a range of projects that we have worked on. These will range from web design and re-branding projects to magazine and print design. Please enjoy browsing through our June selection below.

PROJECT TYPE: Information pack
DESIGNED BY: Mimi Seymore
WHY WE THINK IT'S COOL: ConX came to us asking for a visually impressive information pack that would be sent out to potential new clients. The team wanted a simple, yet comprehensive document that explained who the company is and how their online platform works. Creating the 5 page document in Adobe InDesign, we based the look and feel of the design on the ConX website and incorporated their brand colours and fonts to keep the branding consistent across the marketing collateral. Creating some illustrative icons to accompany the written content enabled us to add more personality to the document, while creating a visually engaging and exciting final product. It was an enjoyable project to work on and we look forward to working on many more projects with ConX in the near future.

Bayeco Skincare

CLIENT: Bayeco Skincare
PROJECT TYPE: Web redesign
DESIGNED BY: Stephanie Gunn
WHY WE THINK IT'S COOL: We initially got in touch with Bayeco when we saw a social media post asking for a product brochure. When they got in touch saying they'd like to work with us...we were delighted! The company came to us wanting an 8-page brochure that beautifully displayed their new skincare range, told their story and clearly explained the ingredients used in the natural products range. They also wanted the layout and design to perfectly enhance the look and feel of their brand and company website. Creating the brochure in Adobe InDesign, we made great use of the beautiful high-res imagery that the company provided and combined these with the brand's subtle colour palette and modern, sophisticated fonts. Eight pages was the perfect number of pages necessary to include all of the information, while also having the capacity to space the different elements out and take advantage of exciting and playful layouts. Once we had completed the A4 version of the brochure, the team asked for a very similar, condensed A5 version that simply outlined their products. The company were really pleased with both final products and couldn't wait to send them to potential clients in the skincare industry across Australia. We absolutely loved working on these projects and they were a joy to work on. Bayeco has discussed some additional projects that they'd like to work with Popdot on so watch this space...!

PROJECT TYPE: Website redesign
DESIGNED BY: Mimi Seymore
WHY WE THINK IT'S COOL: Knose came to us wanting a complete refresh of their website ahead of a large veterinary conference they were attending. They wanted to give their website a new lease of life that would impress potential customers/investors etc in the veterinary industry and stand out amongst their competitors. Alongside this refresh, they also wanted an animated graphic that showed the process of Knose preventatives being delivered directly to a customer's door. We wanted to create a design and layout that was clean, minimal and featured vibrant pet imagery. We opted for a white background with colourful headings, block banner colours to differentiate certain sections, newly designed icons and buttons to really grab the user's attention and impressive high-res imagery to create a contemporary and exciting final site. In addition, we ensured we kept everything in line with the Knose brand by using their colour palette and fonts. The team were really happy with their new site and we look forward to working together on more projects throughout 2018.
