ID8 Design

CLIENT: ID8 Design
URL: www.id8design.com.au
PROJECT TYPE: Proposal document
DESIGNED BY: Stephanie Gunn
WHY WE THINK IT'S COOL: The team at ID8 Design got in touch asking for a redesigned proposal document that they could ‘wow’ potential clients with when pitching for new projects. Having already designed their logo and website, we knew their brand inside out. It was important to ensure brand consistency so we used the same colours and primary brand font, complimenting it with a sans serif secondary font for the main content. We also used the hexagon of their logo for other illustrative elements throughout the document to add further character and visual interest. Due to the nature of their business, it was important to really show off their projects through the use of large, impressive photos that we included on most pages. The team were really happy with the final product and they successfully won a huge new client thanks to the new-look proposal! Congrats guys!!

Manal al-Sharif

CLIENT: Manal al-Sharif
URL: www.manal-alsharif.com
PROJECT TYPE: Website redesign
DESIGNED BY: Stephanie Gunn
WHY WE THINK IT'S COOL: Manal is a prominent voice advocating for women's rights and empowerment. When we first met her at Fishburners, we were hugely inspired by what she does and were excited when she asked us to redesign her personal website. Manal was very clear about having a beautiful, yet very clean website. She had a lot of information she wanted included but felt it was too busy on her existing site, so really wanted to strip it back and have all of the information displayed in a very streamlined and organised way. We listened and we designed exactly that. Using a combination of images and videos, text and slideshows, we chose to use a range of features to add visual interest and diversity without over-complicating the overall layout or legibility of the information. In addition, there is a strong balance between visual and written content, that also helps to keep the website simply beautiful. We also added a subscription panel and pop-up enabling users to easily get in touch with her. Manal was really pleased with the final website and was particularly pleased she had a redesigned platform that she could publish her upcoming articles.

nnElement

CLIENT: nnElement
URL: novoelementum.io
PROJECT TYPE: Rebrand
DESIGNED BY: Stephanie Gunn
WHY WE THINK IT'S COOL: nnElement came to us wanting a new logo designed. They had an existing brand but felt it was too busy and didn’t quite depict the main elements of the business as strongly as they would have liked. In a nutshell, they wanted to convey the concepts of a process, streamlined results and optimising connectivity and efficiency. The company itself offers complex, advanced services so it was important to depict these services, and the elements within them, in their most simplest form. The client was interested in using hexagons and circles for the main logo design because they were recognised shapes in the industry that represented the complex systems and networks and the connections between them all. Combining these shapes with a contemporary, clean sans serif font and using two strong complimentary colours successfully achieved a visually striking final logo that the client was proud of.
